Fundraiser Information
The proceeds of this event will fund the construction of our long-term residential home for survivors of human trafficking.
Human Trafficking deprives approximately 40.3 million people worldwide of their dignity and freedom, it undermines national security, distorts markets, enriches transnational criminals, terrorists and it is an affront to our universal values. The industry generates about $150 billion dollars annually, this is inclusive of sex, labor, and organ trafficking.
In South Florida, there is a need for an organization that provides a 1–2-year long-term home for adult survivors of human trafficking. During the last four years, we had a residential home, we observed that providing survivors with a safe place to live and a supportive community was imperative to their healing. Not worrying about where they will live allows survivors to focus on improving other aspects of their lives.
Through this campaign and with the support of our donors, we plan to once again meet the critical need for a long-term home in South Florida. We are excited to build a 6-bedroom home for adult survivors (18-29) who choose to enroll in our "Redeemed by Love" program. Not only will this allow us to design a home tailored to the needs of survivors, but it will ensure that Glory House will always have a safe space to offer to its clients.
Survivors will have the option to live in the home for up to 2 years under the care of house mothers and a supportive team. Our goal is to begin construction third quarter of 2022 and finish the fourth quarter of 2023.
